Lake Mburo

So, after a rough 2 whole weeks in the daily grind of life in Mbarara, we decided we needed a vacation... We escaped to the beautiful Lake Mburo National Park for a couple of days wildlife watching, hiking, boating and generally enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Awesome pictures and storytelling. It makes it seem like you are not halfway across the planet. Except for you close proximity to hyenas, zebras and hippos! I want to nuzzle up on that baby hippo...I'm sure mama hippo would stomp my ass if I even got close, alas.

Love you guys!

Not to worry, Pablo- we won't be asking for the studio back until we've seen all of the big five.
And, chica- I think the baby hippo would stomp your ass too! Mama probably weighs over 3400lbs, and baby is at least 500lbs. Good luck with the snuggling... ;)

500 pound baby hippo??!! I showed Chico because I was incredulously that something so seemingly small could weigh so much. His response was, "Well you can only see the head in the picture, who knows how big it's body is." Senor Obvioso strikes again!
